Just wanted to say I was married to you in every game of house I played as a child. I even had a notebook with your face on it. Thanks for being so awesome!!
Edit: Don't tell my husband ;)

Just felt like the right time... seemed like I had accomplished all of the goals I had set for myself lying in the hospital in Indianapolis. I was back on TV, on a hit show seen in 195 countries... I had just won the Golden Nymph at the Monte Carlo TV Festival... I had married my girlfriend, we had two beautiful children... I had climbed back out of the hole I had found myself in... it was time to tell that story...

Thanks, Jason, for doing this. Pay no attention to the voting going on right now, btw. What's your favorite food? Movie? Book?
JasonPriestley6 karma
Wow... OK, Food, Vietnamese... Movie, Citizen Kane... Book, Six Bad Things... no wait, Lullabye...

As a Canadian do you feel an automatic secret kinship with other Canadian actors? What can Canada do to keep their talent from emigrating?
JasonPriestley6 karma
It's not so secret! Us Canadians always seem to find each other! I don't think Canada can do anything to stop talent from leaving... it's just another "brain drain"...

Cronenberg got tax advantages to make his first movies in Canada; is there nothing like that left?
JasonPriestley2 karma
There are still lots of tax advantages... and soft money... but the big money is in the US... Gotta go there if you really want to hit it out of the park...

Hey, you know you have a lot of gay fans, right? Well, you do. Please accept more roles that involve you shirtless. Thank you!!! P.S. Saw you on Hot in Cleveland you were hilarious!!!

That's tough... I think the work I've done with the Nature Conservancy Canada... They do great work... and with the Water Keepers Alliance...

Hi Mr. Priestly sir. Do you get as bored at work as I am right now?
Also, 90210 is cool.
JasonPriestley8 karma
Well in a lot of ways the decision was made for me... I have kids now and, as much as I love racing, I'd rather spend my weekends with them... not to mention, It's a young mans game... certainly at the level I was competing at... I may get back to it at some point... just not now...

What do you think Brandon Walsh would be doing with his life in 2014?

I'm asking for a friend who can't make it in this afternoon, but we wanted to know what Nova Scotia winery you'd invested in, and just ask you if there's anything you'd like to tell folks in general about it. Thanks Jason. My wife & I love your work on Call Me Fitz, and really have to catch up to S03, S04, and anything else as it continues :)
JasonPriestley5 karma
I don't have an investment in any winery in Nova Scotia... I'm one of the share holders and I sit on the Board of Directors of the Black Hills Estate in British Columbia...

Hi, Jason. What was the decision factor in taking a role in Joe Dante's episode of Masters of Horror? Are you a fan of horror genre?
JasonPriestley4 karma
The decision was made by the fact that Joe Dante was directing and Elliot Gould was the co-star... I believe I said yes before I even read the script...

Was Shannon Doherty really that much of a bitch in real life? Also,do you find it hard getting acting gigs nowadays?
JasonPriestley11 karma
No she wasn't... I had a lot of good times with Shannen... You know the tabloids blow everything way out of proportion, and they certainly did with Shannen... And no, I don't find it hard to find gigs at all these days... you can check out my resume at imdb.com

What is your favourite thing you have done in the entertainment industry?
JasonPriestley4 karma
Wow... that's a tough one... Call Me Fitz, Tombstone, Love an Death on Long Island, Coldblooded...
JasonPriestley3 karma
I do like playing bad guys... especially baddies like Jack... he was a complicated guy... and I really liked the interplay with he and Tru in that show... shame when that one got the axe...
JasonPriestley5 karma
I'm actually heading up to Churchill Manitoba next November to shoot a documentary on the Polar Bears...

Didn't even notice that but I am pissed that Beiber has stolen my trademark look over the top of the sunglasses... 'member that? From the opening credits of 90210? He's stealing my move!

Hi Jason. Hope it's a great day in NY today. Call Me Fitz is one of my favorite shows and just wanted to know if this is the most fun you have had with a character?
JasonPriestley4 karma
Bar none... that character was a blast to play... we had so much fun making that show... there were no rules... no one telling us "no"... we got to just keep pushing the limits of acceptable behavior... I really loved making that show...
JasonPriestley2 karma
I think the projects I direct... directing is the hardest job on the set, and you spend the most time on every project, so you value them the most...

What is your best (or worst) diva story regarding some of your fellow actors. I'm sure you have many to tell!
JasonPriestley5 karma
I think it's the Misha Barton story I put in my book... that's why it's in there... I couldn't believe it was actually happening...

Was there an occasion that you told the screenwriters of Beverly Hills that you didn't like the direction the series was taking? Did they listen to your ideas? Would they?
JasonPriestley3 karma
Yes I did have input into the storylines of the show in the later years... when I was producing and executive producing the show, the writers would listen to my ideas and incorporate them sometimes... sometimes not...
jerryricebag1 karma
your the freaking man Jasson!!!!! hows luke doing do you still hang and chill
JasonPriestley5 karma
As I left the show one season before the end, I didn't get the chance to take anything from any of the sets...

Hi Jason, I loved Cas & Dylan. Do you have any advice on getting Canadian independent productions off the ground? I'm part of a project about a once glorious chef now reduced to being a judge on a horrible cooking competition, and we're looking to start production in the fall.

Dan was a very well liked guy in the paddock around Indycar... and a very talented driver... I always hate to see another driver lose his life... it's never easy...

I just want to say that your appearance on Saturday Night Live around the height of your popularity was one of the best I've ever seen.

I will forever remember the 90210 episode where Scott Scanlon shoots himself. Do you dream about it at all?
