I've heard people say similar things, but I don't understand how you can teach a language without knowing both languages (the language you're teaching and the language of the learner). Could you explain the mechanics of it? Do you just sort of point at things and say the English word, or is it just a case of spoeaking English consistently and the learners pick it up?

How much Korean did you need to learn for your job, and how long did acquiring it take you?
