I always had the feeling that the kid with the 'heart' ring got a bit shafted. That was from a 9 year old's perspective, of course. 16 year old me felt... differently.

As a chemist, lemme step in and say that this paper is sketchy as hell and should not have been published in Nature. It's highly likely that the findings were false.

I wish that this weren't true.

A bunch of researched wrote letters to the editor complaining about many things. It seems that the peer review was hardly effective.
