i want to ask you something deep and meaningful but, honestly, I've been waiting my entire life to ask you: HOW do you keep your skin so stunningly beautiful?!?

not a lawyer so i can’t comment on what’s legal, but consider that needing health and hospice assistance leaves people in a very vulnerable position, and it may be more comfortable for them to be vulnerable with people who are physically or culturally similar or may understand their preferences, practices, or needs a little better. a woman who has suffered sexual trauma at the hands of a man may not be comfortable being alone in the home with or bathed by a man, for example. a muslim may feel more comfortable being cared for by someone who is familiar with and/or respects their prayer practices. maybe it’s legal, maybe it’s not, but it doesn’t cost you anything to be a little empathetic

there’s no cultural reason for a white person to request “caucasian only” care that isn’t racism. so no, you shouldn’t send a black staff member to a racist person’s house
