Ookla (and all speed test for that matter) seem to check ping relatively quick which is why (I believe) it's often inaccurate and not representative of the actual average ping. How many hops does your ping test make before giving the results?

Well hops totally depends on your connection - so that depends literally on your connection!
Right, I'm sorry I didn't word this as well as I could of. When I run a trace route I can tell it to hop 10 time or 1000 time. The more hops I tell it to make the more accurate my average ping will show. I'm pretty sure I got what you're saying though: your ping test is giving the ping of 1 "trip" (from server to end customer regardless of how many hops are involved).

So the golf industry uses 1% of the water and creates $7B in GDP, and agriculture uses 75% of the water for $32B in GDP. From an economic standpoint we could say farms should use less water, but is this really practical? Farms feed (almost) everyone and are a necessity where as golf is a luxury. Is there anything farms could do that would use less water but not affect the crop yields?
