I am so incredibly sorry. I know it means nothing to you, but this mother of three boys is crying in her pillow here in Germany right now, for you and your husband and for Lily and because no parent should ever ever have to go through that.

I would never forgive your former friend for doing what he did. However, what the fuck were your family members thinking? Why would they attend the wedding when you were not invited? This must have been even harder. I am sorry you had to go through this all. I would definitely let your former friend know how much you were hurt by his actions, but then I would move on. I wish you all the best. And talk to your family about loyalty.
