Big fan here John. I have 2 questions here:

  1. As a person who found you while at the age of 14, and one who has now become an 'adult' at the age of 20, I am still struck by how your are able to get into the heads of teenagers so much better that pretty much everyone else. Your books have been helpful to not just me, but my friends, and even my parents, who said later on that they got a greater understanding on my actions as a teenager. One thing I loved the most about your work, both as an author and a content creator is how you talked TO the teenagers, not AT them. Treating them as fellow friends rather than talking down. I guess in essence, my question is this: How do you have such an amazing understanding of the minds of people that are over half your age?

  2. Do you have any plans of visiting India? It really is quite an interesting country, and there are many fans here who would love to meet you.

There are many of us, but usually don't admit it. There are 2 things though, with the launch of the TFIOS movie, many guys read the books to 'impress' their lady friends, and many actually liked it, and secondly I know at least 4 friends from high school who have talked to me about actually loving YA books but not admitting it back then because they would appear 'un cool'.

I was different though, I just read whatever the fuck I wanted to. I remember in 9th that I was known as the guy who read 'Princess Diaries'. The fact that I took it in stride meant nearly every girl talked to me. I became known as the 'sensitive' guy. In fact that's how I met both of my best friends. Without them, I probably wouldn't be alive today.

Hey Edward, first of all, huge 'fan' and supporter from New Delhi, India. I wanted to ask, are you aware of the recent debates regarding Net Neutrality in India? If so, what are your thoughts? Hope you are well, thanks for your courage. PS- Since this is Reddit, who's your favorite Avenger?

Someone who's recording of themselves doesn't sound as good as the recordings they make of other people. This translates into a reporter not sounding as good as their field tape.

Why does that happen?
