What projects do you guys have planned after this movie?

When I worked at the YMCA, I met a child who was pretty awesome. He was about 10 years old and I knew right off the bat that he had Tourette's but it seemed really minor. He would just tick every few seconds. I felt bad but that was his issue and I wouldn't let any kid's mess with him about it. I found out a year later, after his mom gave us a seminar/awareness discussion on Tourette's and her son, that what he had was actually severe. Pretty much, when he got home he go into a closet and break down. Apparently all day he would hold in as much of the ticks as he could, the minor ones we would see were what he couldn't contain at that moment. But once he got home and found a private place he would unleash it all with very vocal, very violent mannerisms, and was just scary to anyone who witnessed it. It broke my heart to hear this about him. It changed my view of Tourette's and made me realize how strong this little kid was.
I'd like to know, before you were on this medication, was life similar to this? Are all people with Tourette's like this? Or, was he just special?

I can't imagine what that build up must have felt like. You're an awesome person. Don't let people give you shit because of this. There are so many shitty people out there that treat others like trash because of something they were born with or is out of their control. Don't ever let them get you down. Fuck them.
