Thanks for all your answers Andy! The good news on the Logic front is that it down to $299 USD ... Where as Logic 7 I believe was $999! Ouch.

The specs of new Macs are defeinitely able to run Logic 10 without adding too much more RAM, etc... You may want to look at a Mac Mini .. or MacBook Air to run it .. They are more affordable these days as well .
