This this this. I had a roommate who could not be on the lease of our apartment because his parents abused his (and all of his siblings) credit until it was unusable. He couldn't get his own housing (we had to leave his name off the lease), college loans or financial aid, car insurance, credit cards, anything. Because of this, he had to drop out of school after the first year because he couldn't afford it, and has a ton of trouble getting employment because he can't legally own a car.

Get this shit worked out, your guardians literally ruined your financial life. Lawyer up and don't let off until your name is cleared.
