My mom's boyfriend is a beekeeper. He's not bigtime and he's nowhere near as educated as the people doing this AMA (hes kind of a southern good ol' boy type, I don't really like him tbh).

But he started in our backyard. Had just a couple hives. Did it as a hobby. Started making honey and selling it. I think he's even looking into leasing his bees to local farmers. He probably makes an extra 10-20k a year at this point and he's only doing it in his spare time as a personal business. Not too bad if you ask me.

Plus bees are cool as fuck.

You guys are seriously living my dream. In the process of selling all my belongings so I can hit the road when the lease is up.
