I think the argument is that this is a violation since certain minority groups are exempted from this "mandatory" requirement but not others. There is no reason why "women, Jehovah's Witnesses and people from Åland", as a group, are any less fit to serve in this role than physically able men.
The fact that men are subject to physical confinement for non-compliance, but "women, Jehovah's Witnesses and people from Åland", are not makes this a discriminatory policy.

Thanks for doing this. So you're aware, reddit does not work like a traditional forum. Does sprint actually mean "1 percentage point" in those commercials? Because the difference between 99.5% and 98.5% is still triple the amount of downtime.

The workers already get breaks similar to what you describe. The issue is that they're often not allowed to leave their stations in between mandatory breaks and some people can't hold it that long.
