I spent a bit of time amongst the natives in British Columbia. I quickly discovered most Canadians are quite upset with all of the things the native peoples receive from the government and how much of it seems to go to waste. I've seen firsthand many problems with alcoholism and other problems. My question is, how do you think these problems can be overcome? Does the government have a role in fixing First Nations problems?

That is probably the real set. I just did a Google Image search and thought I'd save everyone else the trouble. I am too young to have lived in those glory days of Lego.

Thanks for the response. It's quite a bit to overcome, but with more people like you, I'm sure First Nations tribes will be able to change for the better.

I volunteer at the local state mental hospital. Sometimes I find it difficult to find topics to talk with the patients about. What suggestions do you have for getting to know the patients better, without asking about their diagnoses/history?
The patients I work with are pretty quiet people. I'm just curious, what was a typical day like in your hospital. What did you do to pass the time?
Also, I'm guessing you were on some pretty hardcore medication. What did it feel like?
