Thanks for the AMA! Two questions:
Were you surprised that Roberts didn't join the majority opinion?
Were you surprised that equal protection arguments were less persuasive than other arguments? For instance a simple test that says but for my sex, I cannot do an activity, seems fairly straightforward. In this case, but for being a man I cannot marry a man, and then forcing the burden on the state to give a convincing reason why you cannot, seems like it would have appealed to justices that would be uncomfortable using other legal reasoning. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I've heard places like the Phillipines that prostitution, while illegal, seems to be tolerated. Is that the same case in Palau? Do you prosecute those types of crimes?
