I totally agree. In fact I cried after seeing the movie on Saturday. I felt like Francis Lawrence really understood this story and crafted and excellent film from the source material. There's so many important themes in these movies and it made an interesting conversation with my kids when they asked me why I was so moved by the film. We talked about power, totalitarianism, and how easy it is for power to corrupt and how horrifying things still happen in the world. Not a happy topic but an important one.

Hi, Karin! πŸ‘‹πŸ»

What happens to all of the money though. I do agree that the top leaders realize that membership is depleting, yet it is still the most rich and powerful cult in the world. Does Miscavige recruit a new leader to "control" all this money and real estate? Scientology is just bizarre and horrible. I hope that it goes away, but I'm not sure how with the amount of cash they have.

FWIW, my husband inadvertently saved someone from scientology once. His friend was joining up and was giving them all his cash and belongings, but husband advised him to hide a vehicle and some cash in a storage locker in case he wanted to get away. Surprisingly, the guy listened and when it because obvious he was a slave in a cult he managed to escape, thanks to being able to access that vehicle. This was before internet, etc. so it was easier to keep them from knowing.

I'm really sorry that the people tasked with protecting and loving you failed to do so. Children have little chance when being indoctrinated from a young age.

Jesus, I can't believe I missed an opportunity to discuss pickle surprise with the one and only Ru. Can you believe I introduced my gay buddy to that? He had no idea. That and that Amanda fucking Palmer video about your snatch. He'd never seen that one either. Is he living under a rock?

Anyway, I've said to my friend, and although you are gone and it's too late, I'll say it here. You know how when you can see someone's spirit and know that they are special, and how that love comes totally from within and is so genuine and real. RuPaul, you have that. Thanks for being you, and thanks for giving your love.

Op seems to be gone now. I can answer a few questions since its been almost 2 years since my orthognathic surgery.

Braces were about 7k I think. Surgery was approx 30k. I did have about 2k of coverage for braces and about 20k was covered by health insurance. I went to a surgeon that was out of network or more would have been covered, but he was a top surgeon, highly experienced and recommended by my Ortho. I live in an expensive part of the country so keep in mind everything is more $$$ here.

My teeth are perfect now and breathing is incredible. I can't believe the difference. I wear an Invisalign type retainer at night. If you wear your retainer, your teeth will never shift back. They can fix the cross and underbite all at once. There are complex mathematical models and surgical plans they go over with you during the process.

Feel free to message me if you want to know more. Recovery is tough but I can honestly say now I'm glad I had it done.

Thanks for making this. It works quite well and you saved me a few times after I got a new computer and could not run my old standalone PS on my new system. I ended up having to subscribe, but I really appreciate Photopea. It’s the ONLY free photoshop alternative that can open psds.
