Its scary how many push backs there can be at diagnosis, its a story I hear all too often and it needs to change. I'm pleased you got your second opinion and treatment and I wish you all the best for the future

Thank you. I have my fingers crossed that your biopsy comes back clear. I can only imagine how uncomfortable that must be on your hard palate luckily mine is in my cheek (very bottom almost lower jaw) so it's not in my way for eating. I hope you heal up and if it is sinister you get a plan in place soon
TBH the skin on my cheek has started pulling in so I know that's not so encouraging. I had that with my original tumour and the first met on my back (the rest of my collection are very intetnal). I'm some ways as awful as ig sounds I kinda hope it is cancer because at least that way I have a met that I can access to feel and monitor for changes, growth and effectiveness of my treatment cause right now I rely on 6 monthly scans. I mean when my cancer is incurable anyway it doesn't make much difference to me in the long run to have another pop up, it'll mean I have to change my current treatment but that would have happened at some point.
I wish you all the luck for the future whatever it holds 😊

Is it true those cancers can be hard to diagnose because they are often confused for oral abcesses an sebaceous cysts? (I have Stage IV breast cancer myself and my metastasis were non traditional showing up in random places) I just got a small new lump im my mouth so I'm really interested in how it felt and your diagnosis experience. I am awaiting an ultrasound and possible biopsy and would be curious if it took a while to determine it was cancer? Was there anything distinguishing about the lump? I really hope your treatment is going well and proves successful for you, you got this!!
