How do you coach the guests who you film? Are they asked to react a certain way or say/not say certain things? Do any of them act out when they don't get the news they were hoping for?

You're right, but very often they will show items like that on the show and explain if we can prove it is what you say it is, it's worth X, but since we can't it's worth Y. It's a great teaching opportunity to showcase what counts as "proof", the importance of provenance, etc.
