What is your opinion of ICF (insulated concrete form) homes? The cost to build seems to be about 15% higher in my area (US midwest), but the long term heating and cooling costs are really appealing.

Excellent question. Voluntary GMO labeling that is consistent among all states via the non gmo project (or another national organization similar to the Organic Growers association) is the answer. State by state initiatives designed to force the hand of the USDA will fail and cost everyone tremendous effort and money.
