Are you sure about that? I always thought dams and water turbines were the cheapest energy available. What about storing the energy produced by wind turbines, or even solar panels for that matter. Doesn't the cost of storage and lost energy because of lack of storage availability factor into the overall performance?

I meant to be asking about contamination in land fills and ground water from the toxic materials used to manufacture both wind generators and solar panels.

It would be a factor in overall efficiency.
