Lost your voice being bullied...Was this while still in school, or during time spent in the gang?

Truly sorry to hear this. I know that bullying can have such a HUGE impact on a young person. Do you address this topic in talking to kids now? And how would you advise them to respond/react to bullying? How can one rise above it without allowing it to affect them personally?
