Is collaboration possible with an industry that is so competitive and territorial? How?

How do you identify marketing opportunities for your products?
When creating new products or recipes, how do you prioritize the following qualities:
Environmental impact?
Similarity to animal-based alternatives?
Price?
Community impact?
