Just some food for thought, but their crimes may not be violent in nature... or if they were, it was very likely directed at a specific person for personal reasons. You, as a paying customer giving them valuable work experience, are probably no more at risk than you are at any other hair salon.

I feel that's almost always how he is, though –– even when he's furious and raging at someone, it's because he knows they're squandering their own potential over petty things like laziness, hubris, ignorance, etc. He's harsh, but it's because he cares so much.

Are you actually directed to withhold information to bully people into paying up? I have only ever dealt with one collection call in my life (wrt unpaid bills, not loans) and I was almost in tears after it because the dude kept refusing to tell me what the consequences of not paying would be. He called at 8PM at night and told me I had until noon the next day to make the payment… but the phone lines I'd have to call wouldn't be open until 9 am the next morning. Can collections agencies even give deadlines like that?

In Ontario there is a procedure called a Form 1 that is an involuntary 72hr psychiatric hold. While I hope that your therapist is handling your care with an understanding of what you feel is best for yourself, I also hope you familiarize yourself with what Form 1 is, the Mental Health Act, and your rights if the situation does pop up.

If you're bad at gift wrapping, are you exempt from gift-wrapping duties? Do people ever receive awkwardly wrapped things?
