Bill, are you happy about the outcome of the Ken Ham debate? Personally, watching it has only grounded my view on religion as a dangerous phenomenon/idea.

How can we deal with millions of people who are so deluded and so brainwashed that it is pretty much impossible to change their clearly distorted view on the world/reality? I'm talking about any idea that uses unscientific crap to justify it's goals. How can we deal with people who will not even listen or research the facts due to fear of their beliefs being challenged? How do we deal with people like that in the position of power? I understand that it is a much more appealing option for most - to believe in something simple like god than something as complex as millions of years of genetic mutations, but there must be some way?

It always felt unreal to me, I'm 28 years old and each year it feels more like this is some sort of joke - we could have it all if we only had the right people, in the right place, making educated and researched decisions.
