Rather than have a beta product out there on two platforms

Isn't that exactly what you're doing right now? Why not just open up the Android beta to everybody, I'd love to use it even if it's miles behind iOS and full of bugs.

Hi! So I know an embarrassing amount about the Finnish game industry, and at the moment it's not great. A lot of companies making one great game, then hiring on as many people as possible and then not making any good games. Happened to Rovio, Bugbear, and I'm currently hoping it won't happen to Colossal Order.

That's not actually true, yes, many Android phones don't have proximity sensors, but the ones that do all work the same way. You see that's the whole point of Android, you have a whole load of phones, and an universal OS for all of them.
