My understanding is that humanity has been unable to create a successful vaccine for any extant coronavirus (including SARS-CoV-1 and MERS-CoV).

What challenges does the coronavirus family have that makes it so hard to create a vaccine for? Is it the relative rarity of coronavirus infections in humans, or some aspect of coronaviruses themselves?

Does the lack of vaccine for any coronavirus make the discovery of a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 more difficult?

Super cool research y'all are doing, thank you for stopping by.

This one might be best for James, but I'll take any responses: What do we know about the interactions between Crohn's medications and the gut microbiome? I know that's open ended, but do we have evidence of medications like Humira affecting the ratio of species in the gut?

More generally, is anyone looking at whether the gut microbiome has any relationship with the skin microbiome?

Do any of you expect that we will recognize the microbiome (gut and/or skin or others if we've identified them) as a human organ in the future?

As a Pagan who worships alone in the US, but uses cannabis in a ritual fashion (and recreationally, but that's not what my question is about), how can I protect myself from discrimination at work and home?

"Smart drugs", that is, drugs that purport to increase your mental abilities- whether they be attention, motivation, or memory. So everything from amphetamines to gingko to newer research chemicals that I don't know the names of.

All those people that visit are causing a lot of damage to the site, simply by walking around. This is happening to many ancient sites like this. This isn't the only reason for the admission charge, but it certainly helps reduce the amount of damage that can be done!
