Thanks for your answer. I totally understand this perspective. I have been an Ubuntu user for several years and the single most important gripe I have now is the lack of a proper office suite. It is not the usability of the desktop, the graphics drivers (although that used to be my no.1 gripe), the user experience or what not. I feel that Ubuntu has been on par with Windows or MacOS in terms of general usability for a couple of years now. What forces many people to stay away from Linux is the inadequate software, as opposed to the desktop experience.
