Are there any leads in your research that point to other big tech companies being duplicitous in their privacy practices? Do you think this will point to a shift in ease of acceptance of trading user data in exchange for "free" apps?

I know this is going to be make me sound like a blind fanboy, but why is the media going after Google here and not the companies who were in fact giving our data to third parties and lying about it?

I have heard arguments from others that Google is the target based on volume of data collection alone. By comparison, some people don't think that others are as egregious because they don't match the volume of data.

I disagree with this being the apparently sole criteria for who gets chosen to be exposed or otherwise. All who misuse and release data without user consent should be exposed.
