Based on the (limited) research I've done, it seems like the only courts that are willing to speak up against ATF and DEA's reverse sting operations (stash house robberies) are trial courts in California (and Posner when he dissents). However, the 9th Circuit seems to be in favor of the reverse stings. I've read that the agencies are saying they're cutting back on the operations. Are they? If not, will they, barring judicial/legislative intervention? Why has Obama not addressed this? Or has he, and I just don't know about it?
On a related note, do we need to change the legal standard for entrapment? Based on anecdotal evidence, the legal standard is not very similar to the public conception. Is that a problem?

If no one was prosecuted, how did you have a ripe claim?
