I like that answer very much, and thanks for replying, too. If I were to answer my own question, the answer is much less complex in nature, and self-centered, to boot: I skateboard because it is something I can feel myself improve upon, much like practicing an instrument, or perfecting an artistic technique. I skate to see improvement in myself... and to have fun, of course.
