I understand that your IAmA is over, so I am not sure if you are checking your inbox, but I recently saw this TED talk (it was actually linked with an IceBucketChallenge video) and it really changed the way I saw the nonprofit organizations revenue/expenses. I am sure that you are extremely busy, but if you have a spare 20 minutes somewhere, please give it a view!

I first donated to ALS research when I heard about your story in January from a photographer friend of mine. I donated again when I was challenged to the ice bucket challenge. Thank you for what you have done to raise awareness for ALS. Take care and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!:)

Thank you for answering my questions.

I believe that means that it was a "living" transplant. Apparently, it is when a beating heart is transplanted.

Thank you for doing this AMA! I have a couple more questions if you don't mind.

  1. Do you have any physical limitations as to what you can do? (ex. Working out, sports, skydiving, etc.)

  2. Did you notice any emotional changes after the transplant? I've heard that women especially tend to get depressed/experience strong emotional change afterwards.

  3. Did you have a "living" heart transplant?

  4. Why are you particularly forbidden from Russia? I understand avoiding Africa but I assumed parts of southeast Asia would be a greater concern than Russia.

How does taking immunosuppressants daily affect your life? Does it limit your ability to travel or hold particular jobs?
