But what about things outside of free will? My father is a devout Roman Catholic who has suffered for years with aggressive brain cancer, and no matter how much we pray and wish and medicate and radiate and operate, it continues to worsen. I don't understand how terrible things like this happen to good people. It's frustrating and confusing, to say the least.
