id always thought it was called the room because the bedroom of his house is the place where his best and worst moments happen. they also bookend the film with the first and last scenes taking part in there. banging lisa twice at the start of the film followed by shooting himself at the end.

but shouldnt taxation be purely about efficient ways to raise revenue for the state, not as a means for the state to control the population?

while taxing high sugar foods seems harmless enough it seems to put us on a slippery slope. since taxes on foods primarily affect the poor does this not equate to the government penalizing the poor? im not against sugar taxes per se but i just dont like the precedent it sets for how the government uses taxation schemes. although im aware this is hardly the first time governement use tax to coerce people, when it comes to something to basic as food it makes me uncomfortable.

we can tackle obesity problems through education in public schools, which not only primarily helps the poor but also covers an area of education (food) that is poorly covered by schools throughout europe anyway.
