Thank you for doing an AMA here, Senator Sanders. Given the recent reports that you might be up for a presidential run in 2016:

  1. What would your campaign mostly focus on?

  2. Would being a socialist prevent a majority of Americans from voting for you?

  3. Would you run as a candidate in the Democratic party or run as a third-party candidate? Would doing the latter prevent yourself from getting an exorbitant amount of funding and support, or would you rather bolster support for third parties?

Thank you again for doing this AMA and for all the work you do in the United States Senate.

Firs off, I want to thank you for all the work you've done for the Sanders campaign. As Iowa will be the first state to vote, it is imperative that Sanders can utilize fantastic resources such as yourself to maximize the vote he will get Feburary 1st. Thank you so much.

Clearly as you are members of Sanders' Iowa ground team, you would like to make sure he gets a strong showing in your state, and my question pertains to this.

As a resident of a state that is hosting a primary on "Super Tuesday" March 1st, 2016, is my time right now better spent exerting my own volunteer effort (phone banking in particular) in states such as Iowa or New Hampshire? Or should I instead focus on building Bernie's ground game in my Super Tuesday state so that he can have a strong showing past the first two states to vote?

Thank you.

Thank you very much for the informative response! I'm really glad that the campaign is working on operations in March states, I've been increasingly worried that an Iowa/New Hampshire-or-bust attitude was the campaign's approach.

While I recognize the importance of early voting states and will work hard to ensure Sanders' victory there, I think it's a good idea to utilize my efforts in both as you've said. I'll check out the link you've provided me!

Thank you again, and good luck!
