I'm not sure how parole or probation for robbery differentiates but I can tell you how it's challenging for my situation. Charge: OWI Sentence: 90 Days Jail, 12 months probation, 12 month License Revocation (Minimum) Probation: Random Testing - Every morning I need to call an automated phone line. If that machine lists my assigned color I am to report by 9am to a testing facility to submit either an ETG (urine) or PBT (Breathalyzer) test. This proves especially difficult while living in a rural area, without a license with the nearest testing facility 6 miles away. If I do not arrive before 9am the door is locked and it is viewed as a probation violation. Each test costs $10 dollars for a PBT and $15 for an ETG. My color is typically called 4-5 times per week. I have been doing this for about 9 months.

I can't imagine the feeling you had the night you were released. Can you try to articulate the emotions and thoughts that were going through your head? What were you most excited about? What were you most fearful of?

That's really great to hear. I'm glad you have the support system in place and I hope your parole/probation is quick and painless. Everyday is one day closer to taking your life back! I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and it sounds like you made the most of your time which is awesome. I wish you the best!

Also, another stipulation of my probation is to attend 3 AA meetings per week during the duration of my probation. This would be easy if I was able to operate a vehicle but I am not.
