Woo! Minneapolis! :)

By the way, my 7yo daughter is now hooked on MST3K. She asked me the other day to watch "That show where they try to make boring movies more interesting."

I don't have a question to ask, though, I just -MOVIE SIGN!!!

My daughter has autism. I'm right there with you. I think I deserve the right to gut punch every parent who refuses to vaccinate their kids due to this unfounded fear.

It's a dumb question. Most people in NASA know two things better than most:

  • Extra-terrestrial life very likely exists

  • Space is really freaking big

Most people might say they also know that second point but they really don't. Imagine for a moment how big space is and then blow that up 100X. That's still not big enough.

It's no small feat to find life let alone another intelligent civilization in the infinite expanse of space. They're not covering up anything: just look through a telescope yourself and try to find something. It's a daunting, huge, nearly impossible task. That works both ways, too: the chance of another civilization finding us is, quite literally, astronomical.

The guy laughing at the question isn't an evasion but him shaking his head at ignorance.
