Has there ever been anything surprising you've come across while imaging documents?

I see this a lot and I can say from experience it's not wholly accurate. While on a day-to-day basis contractors are more expensive, that doesn't factor in the immense amount of money that goes into training military members, the amount of fully paid downtime, and the cost of members leaving the military and taking their skills with them. For the jobs the government wants done, contractors are a relatively good option that doesn't carry the same financial baggage.

I'm not saying the use of contractors for certain jobs is a good idea, just that there are hidden costs that are avoided by using contractors.

I'm not opposed to DACA, immigrants (of all varieties), or immigration, but even I know "It would be a one time thing" is false. That would effectively be amnesty and it has already happened before. This would end up being the second time.

This issue is complex and the problem we have in coming up with a decent solution is no one engaging the problem from a genuine and fair position in good faith. That leads me to believe the stalemate will only be broken when one side gets enough votes to push their position. Once that happens, their opposition will be energized and they'll lose votes. This is our democratic cycle, and it is polarizing and self-defeating.
