I actually have no clue what it was. I hear stories just like OP's where they just don't dream anything. At the same time, Ive read accounts on how some people do experience something after death. My mom did, too, and she honestly believes that was the afterlife. I don't know myself. Personally I'd hate to believe there's nothing after death, especially because my dad died last year and I'm still grieving. I watched an episode of Bojack that actually touches on this subject and it scared me so bad. Maybe what my mom saw was something to ease her mind into dying. I'm wondering what my dad is experiencing now. Idk, I'm clueless and death is scary lol

Complete opposite of when my mom died... She saw an afterlife when her heart stopped after taking too many sleeping pills. She said she saw her dead relatives.

She did die. The doctors told my mom there was no heart beat and they told my dad, too. She was also under observation for a month at a psychiatric ward for almost killing herself. But yeah, she always talked about it openly and said she was glad she got to talk to her aunt? But she also said she hated waking up, because she felt wonderful when she was dead. It's weird.
