You wouldn't feel bad about suing them if you had personally seen the way they treated displaced residents during the ice storm carnage here in TN. People were treated like criminals by those workers just for not being able to stay in their homes with no power, heat or water. Donors (I know this bit because I attempted to donate blankets and hot cocoa) were told that their donations were worthless if not in cash as they couldn't take them per supervisors order. No one got cash help from them. All the beds/bedding came from the church that hosted them. All the food and comfort items came from another local non profit. All my information came from talking to them to try and figure out where to take my donations during that time.

We are taught throughout school that we as nursing staff have NO rights. “Your rights don’t matter in healthcare, patient rights supersede yours. If they get sexually or physically aggressive just try to leave the room because unless you are severely injured there is no protection for you from them. And if you get hurt, the only way anything can or will be done to stop it is if they are totally mentally competent which doesn’t happen in long term care since they can all be called depressed or anxious.” I remember hearing that exact phrase during my schooling and it has been reiterated with EVERY single one of my healthcare employers.

I have had it a lot too. I eventually got to the point that I just ignore it until I am sure I won't hear it again. Never seems to happen two nights in a row. Just on days when I am severely fatigued or haven't slept the night before.

Just curious, I you say "I have no idea who that person is" when they ask for a certain person does that qualify as saying "wrong number"?

Cause I have had to say that a lot since I got my home phone number. They keep asking for some guy named Phil. And that is one of few names I honestly cannot associate with anyone I know.
