I know you're almost certainly kidding, but in case you aren't, yes you absolutely can. What you can't do when you're poor is travel the world full time and take multiple intercontinental flights while not working or having income. It's not the walking part that is the issue.

If payment affects the gameplay, the game is bad. If payment unlocks the gameplay, or is cosmetic, then it's a great way to offer a demo or monetize with integrity. I love your philosophy, keep it up!

I think there are better ways to reduce stigma. The law makes sense and easing back on it doesn't change the moral implications at all, so it really doesn't reduce stigma, at least in my mind. I think stories like OP's help to reduce the stigma, because OP is so very obviously not responsible for contracting the virus and there's still stigma surrounding HIV as a disease "only gays and drug addicts get" that needs to be eliminated. But even if it's not your fault that you got it, you still have an obligation to protect people, unfortunately.

I think people were confused because specifically pointing out that you didn't have an Apple™ iPhone® means you could easily have just had a Google™ Android® phone. I think I understand that you mean to say that you didn't have a smartphone but the way you phrased it is strange because it's overly specific and so people are curious.
