My 11 year old poker player son wants to know: what is your strategy for reading people? Any advice for a kid wanting to learn more and more about poker?

Sorry for the formatting, I'm on mobile: how much of a deal breaker is it with partners on average? How do you approach/explain it to new partners? Do you always wear protection when hooking up with someone who doesn't have herpes? If so, is it frustrating or a let down that you have to do that every time and cannot experience full contact with that person? Maybe this is a lack of education on my part, not sure if it's only spreadable during outbreaks.
