I know I wouldn't want to be the one to bring attention to it. My teacher in high school had a hand like that and he used it as his main prop for jokes, which made it seem okay to me to ask.

If I was in your situation, I would consider going the old fashioned way, and put a microphone up to the bear and record it onto another medium. If you lose the bear's recording, that would be sad, but you could rerecord it from the new recording that you have on your phone, or computer.
