How do you decide on the writers/directors for your open movies? Do you have accept unsolicited material or pitches from someone who wants to write or direct one of the open movies?

Old AMA, sorry for threadcromancing it but I was curious. How often do you write (like, number of hours in a day,) where do you write the most and how do you balance writing, directing and generally just meeting people to get shit off the ground or attend networking shindigs?
