Hi,

Could you elaborate more on what's wrong with the usual production committee version of funding? Is it so restrictive that it prevents the production of more innovative anime titles?

I ask because this is a topic that comes up frequently in many anime discussion forums, where fans complain that "nothing new" comes out of the industry any more.

Some fans think the global economic crisis since 2007/8 have made production committees more risk-averse. Is that true?
