My instructor told us how unlikely it was to land right on your face, and that 3/4 helmets were probably just fine.

A few years later I got broadsided by a van illegally overtaking traffic, and was thrown down the road on my face before I started rolling. Luckily, I never really wanted a 3/4 helmet and was wearing a full-face. The helmet had the mouth vent broken and serious scratches all along the chin and up to the top of the visor, and I'm glad those were on the helmet. Without it, I doubt I'd have a chin today.

Me, I was mostly fine. Just a few bumps and bruises. Bike was totalled, though.

Has your work on MST3K or Rifftrax ever got you in to trouble with filmmakers who didn't enjoy the treatment?

Did you specifically design Netrunner's rarity levels as a reaction to the cost/utility that was occurring in Magic, changing it to be that the rarer the card the more specific it was, rather than simply being more powerful?

But it's also important to understand the context of the question and the kind of reply it is expecting. In this case, in an unprofessional forum, 'who is your favourite' is highly unlikely to be asking you to implicitly denigrate some authors and is more likely to be requesting a starting point for further reading.

A general answer may be accurate about how you feel, but it doesn't help the individual looking to widen their own reading choices based on the recommendations of someone they respect. Occasionally, throwing a specific few names or titles out there will help guide someone down a new and fruitful path.
