Will there again be sets of armour you can spend hours lookin for (like with the dragon armour)?

Will some characters from Divine Divinity make an appearance?

Will we get some kind of backstory for our characters (for example, born in aleroth, son of a merchant)?

When playing single-player it is stated that you will be able to choose a personality for your AI-partner, if I remember correctly. Could you expand on that? (What is there to choose from, how nuanced-vs-stereotyped will (s)he be?)
