I'm fairly early in my career (about 3 years out of undergrad). I'm currently working on updating my resume and have shown it to my parents and friends for feedback. My parents say that it's fine if I go over 1 side of 1 page. My friend (who is in a similar place in her career as me) says I absolutely shouldn't, and that her company has thrown out resumes just because they go over 1 page.

What are your thoughts on this? I know people much later in their careers tend to have longer resumes, but should I still be trying to keep things to a single page?

This article is great but I'm wondering if you could give a more specific answer regarding American Chinese food. Any time I see this question asked, it's answered by saying that "dishes like chop suey and moo goo gai pan/restaurants like Panda Express are not authentic". But I'm not sure I've even been to an American Chinese restaurant that still serves moo goo gai pan. That's the "Chinese" food my parents grew up with. And I think it's pretty obvious that Panda Express, being a widespread fast food chain, isn't going to have the most authentic dishes.

My experiences with American Chinese food have been more along the lines of dim sum, dumplings, baos, and hot pot. And maybe some lighter stir fries like chicken and broccoli in black bean sauce. Are these dishes still really far removed from Chinese food in China?

Yes I know. If I went onto a second side, I mostly would have been spacing things out more to make it a little easier to read. I'm still at a normal font size.
