That makes sense. As a low income earner (student) with an unclear direction in life, poverty scares me. My best friend's mother who has worked for the same hotel for 30 years recently lost her job. She's slowly been selling the few items she's accumulated, and is considering moving back to south america where she knows her family could get her a job.

It's just really scary. It could go either way at this stage in my life. It sucks, because, you're right. When you're young is the time to enjoy yourself, you can't enjoy the rewards of your work as much when you're older, and might never become old. But I'm also terrified of becoming an old person with a bad hip or back and losing my job.

Sorry to be the bummer here, but do you know what you're going to do for retirement? I'm so worried I'll very be able to retire, I don't think I could ever do something like this if I weren't financially stable. And that's part of what's kind of special about what you did, I guess.
