Hey, recent Physics graduate here, I did my dissertation and masters project in Extra dimensions and the AdS/CFT respectively.

Do you think it will be possible to begin to test elements of such theories at the LHC in the coming years (via microscopic black hole or graviton production for example), or are the energy scales too great?

What advice would you have for someone about to begin applying for PhDs in the UK beyond grade? (currently on the boundary between 2:1 and first). About to go into a masters year in Physics at a Russell group uni, and currently working at an industry based internship for summer, and I hope to study a PhD in the theory side of physics, although with my current grade that may be a little ambitious!

Thanks for the reply, I'll bear that in mind and make contact with some profs, I will also being doing a master project supervised by an academic member of staff and so obviously will show interest in their research group!
