That is amazing! Sometimes I feel torn on donating to shelters because I feel like I'm enabling the breeders by paying to clean up the mess they create. I hope one day we can see movement on legislation in this area too.

Does any of this money go to lobbying against the breeders who contribute massively to the population of abandoned animals?

You could say this about any humanitarian crisis at any time. No point donating to an animal shelter ever whilst there is a war on somewhere, for example.
