Not quite a conlang. Modern Hebrew was an attempt to take the sacred, written language and allow it to be spoken for daily life.

I would have thought you would like The Empire Strikes Back more but then I remembered that one of the star destroyers left behind a lot of space trash. What's your opinion of the trash compactor scene in A New Hope?

What excellent timing, thanks for doing this!

I know that there haven't been a lot of astronomers who have gotten the position in the past, as it's not really the most desirable skill for going into space (even though many people seem to think it is!). So, as someone who's spent a lot of their life working in astronomy and is working on applying right now, what tips do you have so that I can make my application more appealing? How does that apply for other people in STEM fields who may not feel their particular expertises are suited for the position of astronaut?

I took an English course in high school generically called "Science Fiction and Fantasy" and I think one of the very powerful points was that both genres are very useful as social commentary. While I enjoyed the fantasy portions of the course, it seems to me that the avenues for discussing such commentary are a bit more limited than with science fiction (if one is going to draw the line between the two) because of the background settings, the nature of the themes, etc. Do you think that fantasy is typically used to discuss the same kinds of social commentary with a different skin or entirely different themes of social commentary?
